A must read
This book contains stories which have been beautifully weaved by Varlam Shalamov. It gives graphic description of the condition in the labour camps under Stalin. The tales narrated are so horrific that one wonders if those in power could be so cruel and brutal to their own people. Each tale narrated by Shalamov is powerful.
