It cannot be a substitute for pad but if u are not able to change the pad on right time then u need not to worry about staining. This panty will handle it very well. Also it can be used without a pad on last days of the period. Fit is perfect and material is comfortable. The only con is that it's expensive. But if u use it only for period days then it is going to last for years. It is a very useful product for working women. I am going to buy it again and again
