Works in Kali linux. Supports packet injection as well as monitor mode. But not plug & play. U have to download ralink drivers from github to make it work with Kali. Range is not enough to use with Kali Linux. Better go with Panda pau06 if u primarily want for Jali Linux.

Great product and this chipset support both monitor mode and injection mode.
It is a good product for pen tester and it works greatly in virtual machine.

Its a Good prodct
I have been using it for past 2 months, and it works just fine. The connectivity to my Wi Fi signal is excellent ( my PC is atleast 10 mtrs away) and the bundled software which come along with it is easy to use.
Note : Those planning to connect it to the back USB ports(which are close by) of you PC might be disappointed as its form doesnt allow you to plugin any of your other devices into the port next to it.

great product. go for it.
I bought this product for my Raspberry pi. it comes with a driver installation CD which wasn't needed for raspberry, as pi read it automatically but you might need it for PC. works well with PC too, files transfer smoothly over Shareit .
the range and the signal strength is great. So far no issues have occurred.
This product can be easily chosen over others.

A:Actually you will need a wireless configuration utility that enables soft ap but inside the mediatek utility provided with the driver, there is no such option related to soft ap.
