    Lonely Planet Tibet

    Without photographs Lonely Planet has lost half its attraction.

    In this edition many places in the maps are not even mentioned in the text. Like Gar (Gargunsa or Gartok) and Dzyaul (or Zayu or Rima). It is obvious too that many of the places have been described on hear say. Take Ali Shiquanhe. They have not mentioned the big dam across the Indus and the difference that has made to the economy of the place, which has more Tibetans than Chinese as is eroneously reported in the book.
