THE SMASH-HIT HITLER SATIRE - MORE THAN 3 MILLION COPIES SOLD "A brilliant book" RUSSELL KANE "Brilliant and hilarious" KEN FOLLETT A box-office-hit film now available on NETFLIX A two-part BBC Radio 4 Dramatisation directed by and starring David Threlfall (Shameless) Berlin, Summer 2011. Adolf Hitler wakes up on a patch of open ground, alive and well. Things have changed - no Eva Braun, no Nazi party, no war. Hitler barely recognises his beloved Fatherland, filled with immigrants and run by a woman. People certainly recognise him, albeit as a flawless impersonator who refuses to break character. The unthinkable, the inevitable happens, and the ranting Hitler goes viral, becomes a YouTube star, gets his own T.V. show, and people begin to listen. But the Fuehrer has another programme with even greater ambition - to set the country he finds a shambles back to rights. Look Who's Back stunned and then thrilled 1.5 million German readers with its fearless approach to the most taboo of subjects. Naive yet insightful, repellent yet strangely sympathetic, the revived Hitler unquestionably has a spring in his step. Translated from German by Jamie Bulloch

    Good quality product

    An interesting take on Hitler
I believe that we have been bombarded with the Hollywood narrative on the history around Hitler. No one ever did Justice on the perspective which led to the creation of Hitler. Anyone who has read mein Kemp would have got some insight into his mindset but this book brilliantly takes that further into the modern world. It almost seems like a follow up to mein Kemp as it is entirely told from his perspective. It is also a scary proposition on the modern tools of pr...

    Clearly, A Merciless Satire!!!

So, our 'beloved' Adolf is back! He is not happy with the state of affairs in his Fatherland, and he wants to do something about it.

Timur Vermes hits a creativity jackpot with 'Look Who's Back'. Definitely 'a merciless satire', the book also serves greatly as a parallel history. Yes, we know that the murder of 6 million innocent people cannot be pardoned (after all, 'The Jews are no laughing matter'), nor can the Holocaust, the death camps, the ethnic cleansing, the annexation of Baltic and...

A fantastic idea not executed equally well !

This is a fiction with fantastical theme, an outrageous idea. What's the idea? Hitler wakes up ..... in 2011, in Berlin. He finds his country changed completely. Nobody recognizes or salutes him. Everyone thinks that he is an actor impersonating Hitler.

The book is narrated by Adolf Hitler in first person. Author has depicted him as a self centered and pompous chap who thinks for the good of Volk, but HE decides what is good.

When a man wakes up after more than half a century without knowin...
