Limonia acidissima is the only species within the monotypic genus Limonia. Common names for the species in English include wood-apple and elephant-apple. Wood apple is a common name for several trees of Aurantioideae with edible fruits and may refer to: Aegle marmelos ("Bael" in Hindi), a tree native to India. The Wood Apple (woodapple) is a fantastic fruit with a really funny smell. The fruit is like a delicious tamarind and raisin jam. The hard, rough exterior is covered in sticky brown pulp and small white. They tend to grow best when they are planted in average, moist and well-drained soil, will tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil, clay soil and moist soil. Now open the seed packet on a white sheet of paper as while opening the seeds might fall, which are not visible to naked eyes. After preparing the soil, insert the seeds into the prepared to half (0.5) inch of depth. Spraying the water timely the seedlings will be ready for transplanting. Add urea to the soil for removal of insects and make soil clean and fresh for Home garden and also mix soil with coco peat and Vermi compost for better result in growing plant. DO's: Put seeds 0.5 inch depth inside the soil and add water or spray slowly and timely such that seeds does not come out the soil. can be use all Season, If you using Vermi Composit and Coco peat then result are Good.
