A family entertainer, Maanasthan was released in the year 2004. The movie was directed by Bharathy. Maanasthan movie cast included Sarathkumar and Sakshi Sivanand in the lead roles and Vijay Kumar, Abbas and Sujatha are other supporting actors. The movie’s peppy music was composed by S.A. Rajkumar.

Director Bharathy has chosen a village theme to his movie Maanasthan, which is based on the usual drama of hatred and misunderstandings between the father and the son.
