Deepti Naval, a reputed Indian actress, was born on 3rd February, 1957, in Amritsar, Punjab. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Hunter College, Manhattan. She acted in her first film Jallianwala Bagh in 1977. Known for concentrating on art films, she is famous for her role in Mirch Masala and Chashme Buddoor. She is also a film director. She has written Black Wind And Other Poems.
