About Sahir Ludhianvi

Born as Abdul Hayee in 1921, Sahir Ludhianvi went on to become one of the most celebrated Urdu poets. He is fondly remembered as one of the best Hindi lyricists of all time, whose works were extensively used in Hindi films. He had won the Filmfare Award twice and was also honoured with the Padma Shri in 1971 for his outstanding contribution to literature.
