Makkal En Pakkam  (DVD Tamil)

Directed by Karthik Ragunath, this 1987 classic stars one of Tamil film industry’s most recognised and highly successful actor, Sathyaraj along with the lovely and adorable Ambika as the female lead. Also adding to the strength of the cast is Raghuvaran and Nilalkal Ravi, both well known for their ability to portray unreasonable and notorious charecters. Makkal En Pakkam is largely considered by many film industry insiders and critics as the turning point in Sathyaraj’s now illustrious acting career.

With the music composed by Chandrabose, Makkal En Pakkam is a remake of the Malayalam movie, Rajavinte Makan, which in essence is broadly adapted from the novel, Rage of Angels by the renowned author, Sidney Sheldon. The movie, with its fine mix of action, romance and humour was well received by the audience and was declared a box office super-hit.
