    About the Book

“Ever more people today have the means to live, but no meaning to live for” - Viktor Emil Frankl's Man’s Search for Meaning is an account about all the experiences that he had at the concentration camp during the Second World War. This book describes Frankl’s observations about the various behaviours of his fellow inmates at the camp. His findings have formed a solid ground for psychological analysis, even today. This book is divided into two parts: Experiences in a Concentration Camp and Logotherapy in a Nutshell. This book instils our mind with the hope that even in the most absurd and painful times, we will figure out a way to stay positive and seem hopeful about the future. About the Book

    About the Author

An Austrian Neurologist, Psychiatrist and a Holocaust survivor, Viktor Emil Frankl was the founder of logotherapy, which is a form of existential analysis. His best-selling book Man's Search for Meaning (published under a different title in 1959: From Death-Camp to Existentialism, and originally published in 1946 as Trotzdem Ja Zum Leben Sagen: Ein Psychologe erlebt das Konzentrationslager, meaning Nevertheless, Say "Yes" to Life: A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp) chronicles his experiences as a concentration camp inmate, which led him to discover the importance of finding meaning in all forms of existence, even the most brutal ones. Viktor Frankl became one of the key figures in existential therapy and a prominent source of inspiration for humanistic psychologists.

    Perfect product!

If you want to become hopeful and positive, you should definitely read this one. It's a small book. But the author's experience and writing will motivate you at the best level. I have taken one liner moral from this book, "I am happy that I am not in a detention camp, I am in a much better condition, so why should I feel dejected, I should be joyous and be thankful to almighty God and mother nature for so much of gifts they have given".

    AN AMAZINGLY INSPIRATIONAL BOOK

This is one of THE BEST book I have read in a long time -highly inspirational, truly autobiographical , and admirably free from any kind of self projection . A short book of about 160 pages , it carries within its pages profound yet simple truths of life written in a very reader friendly style . The central theme of the book --gathered from the author`s own experience and observation in the concentration camps of Hitler --is that even the worst happening of anyone`s life cannot take away from...

READ IT TO HAVE A BROADER VIEW OF LIFE

first part tells about the day to day experience at the concentration camp, so its quite thrilling and inspiring but second part is about a psychological therapy- LOGOTHERAPY that needs a lot patience to be completely understood and is quite philosophical but you can definitely go for this TIMELESS CLASSIC.

    Not good

Quality of books print is not great, doesn't encourage fast smooth reading...... However the content of the subject helps to over rule this handicap to good extent.

    Part memoir-part psychology

One of the interesting aspects of this book is the detached manner in which this holocaust survivor narrates this story. A doctor by training, Viktor notes why some of them survived whilst others could not-luck also played a major part in this.

A great read-one of the best non-fiction books that I have read. Highly recommended!

Q:is the book really a pocket book or did I ordered a different version? Its too small by dimensions!
A:Yes, it's relatively small book. Has only 155 pages. And the reason is, the book deals with mainly two things—one, author's experiences in the concentration camp, & second the concept of Logotherapy.
