Khadau or Paduka, is the one of the oldest quintessential footwear ever known to humans; its existence is primarily dated to the ancient mythological times (Hinduism), where it was the highly preferred footwear for scholarly people, like sages, scholars and even the Kings. A Paduka is primarily a hard sole with a knob, which separates the big toe from the rest of the toes. Back in the ancient times, these Khadaus were made of wood, silver, and gold as a mean to provide a requisite cushion to the feet and also regulate the benefits of its properties into the body.
