    • Sampath Madhyastha is currently an Additional Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India (a constituent institution of Manipal University). He has been teaching human anatomy to students of medicine, dentistry and allied health science courses for the past 20 years in India and abroad. He has published 6 textbooks of which Manipal Manual of Clinical Anatomy with two volumes is the latest addition. Apart from teaching, Dr. Madhyastha is actively involved in research in the field of neuroscience. He has published more than 80 research papers in reputed national and international journals. He is the recipient of many independent research grants offered by Indian Council of Medical Research. He has guided many doctoral theses under Manipal University. He has been awarded with prestigious Dr. TMA Pai Gold medal for excellence in medical research (twice) and also the 'Good teacher' award, instituted by Manipal University and Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore.
