Sandeep Shrivastava was born and raised in the small town of Rajnandgaon in the state of Chhattisgarh. He had his schooling in the same town until 1989. He then moved to Raipur for his graduation in architecture. He graduated from the Government Engineering College, Raipur in 1994. He is a practicing architect in Raipur. This book is a maiden venture into the world of poetry. His book Mann is a peep into human beings about how one carries their subconsciousness every moment of their life. Every human being is engulfed in a variety of emotions even in simple, ordinary events of life. Though he passes through the nuances of emotions such as pain, agony, suffering, affliction and discomfort, yet there is an intense longing for care and hope. These kaleidoscopic emotions ever seeking solace, care and hope are profoundly captured in poetry. Mann is a humble attempt in this direction.
