According to me Chatura Rao has well depicted the beauty and the threads of stories that revolve around the holy waters. The Indian essence of Yamini and the pure innocence of Shiva adds glitter to the text of the novel. In all, the plot and the story is something anyone can relate to.

Meanwhile upriver is a nice book for teenagers written by Chatura Rao.It describes the life of a girl living on the ghats of river with a saint.The further story revolves around the life of this girl and how she get emotionally attached with different people .It was really very difficult for her to live as she was an orpan and had no one to guide or with whom she might share her feelings.It was a good book for teenagers.
