About the book - Metafiction or writing about writing is one of the most prominent movements in the recent literary history. It can be seen that as writing comes from the heart it is received in the same manner. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. one of the master craftsmen of this school of writing has written a number of works on the same. Slaughter House V is a good example for his writing. He combines his World War II experience and that of the life of Billy Pilgrim and produces what he calls a “chrono-syncractic infundibulum”. This work is an earnest attempt to mark out the metaphysical elements in his work.
