Dr Sarda Prasad is currently working as Assistant Professor, School of Extension and Development Studies, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi, India. He had born in remote village in Bundelkhand region, UP on 18 December 1981 in farming community. He has completed Post Doctoral (PDF) research, on Impact of Migration on Socio-economic Status of households from CSRD, JNU, New Delhi. Before PDF, he had completed MPhil and PhD on ailing and hospitalization in India and on Migration from same centre and University respectively. His master is in Extension Education and graduated in Agriculture Honours. He has alos obtained degree MA Economics, PG Diploma in Rural Development (Gold) and PGD in Women and Gender Studies and successfully completed certificate program on Population and Sustainable Development (ACPSD) and on Life and Thought of Dr BR Ambedkar (CLTA). He has participated in various Faculty Development Programmes and Training Programmes conducted by various national institutes of India. He has presented nearly 40 papers on various social issues in national and international conferences/seminars in India and in Abroad (Malaysia, China, and Egypt) and 31 research articles published in the reputed journals. His main research interests are on Migration Studies, Rural Development, and Agriculture and Health Status in India especially rural areas.
