But the Olympics had a distressing failure in store for him. His personal life also went through difficult times, in terms of relationships and love interests. With all his towering achievements, Milkha is still a humble sports icon who inspires aspiring sportsmen even today.

Although he stopped taking part in competitive events in the early 1960s, he has dedicated his life to sports.
