1) yes, it warms up the food (roti sbji- 30 minutes), (daal chawal-20 minutes)
2) it is compact.
Cons
1) only the outer layers of food are heated by it, the core still remains cold (January, himachal pradesh)
2) the colours shown are just too vivid in pictures as compared to actual. Actual colours are dim.

A:You may wipe it with wet cloth. washing by dipping into the water not safe I think. the socket is there in middle of lengthy side & the power cord is detachable.
