  • Description

The Mind of Ramana Maharshi, authored by his influential follower and biographer Arthur Osborne, is an inspiring and enlightening chronicle about the life of Ramana Maharshi, one of the most revered spiritual leaders of India.

    Summary of the Book

Ramana Maharshi knew his calling at the very young age of sixteen. After this enlightening phase of six weeks, he left his home and went to the Arunachala Mountains. He lived there for the rest of his life. His life as a recluse eventually earned him many devotees and after several years, the number grew to thousands and thousands. He always believed that silence was the best and the purest form of preaching and teaching and followed the same for the rest of his life. He was originally named as Venkataraman. The name Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi was given by one of his first followers Ganapati Muni. He strongly propounded the Advaita Vedanta, which simply asserts that the consciousness of God is within us – Aham Brahmasmi. This book is about that saint of India who was known for his intense thoughts, yet simply taught.
