    It tells you the truth.

This book in many ways tells you the truth of many Palestinian lives. The everyday fear that they have endured for many years and the dear ones they have lost. This story covers nearly 4 generations of a Palestinian family and well drafted.
A must read for those who have loved The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns.
Perhaps after reading this you may have second opinion as to why people are so ready to blow themselves up.
    Hope the conflict ends someday.

    A life in refugee camp....

I believe most beautiful words come from depth of our hearts and this is one such book. But the beauty is tempered with pain and sorrow (may be that's what makes it beautiful in the first place). I had to stop at many places to absorb so much grief and adjust my emotional compass. The novel is written in a lyrical manner but make no mistakes the story is a dagger which will make your heart bleed. You will definitely cry inside if not from outside. Mornings in Jenin are no ordinary mornings.

The book ‘Mornings in Jenin’ written in a narrative style encompasses 4 generations. The changing times, the changing equations, the changing circumstances of the people original of the land turning into refugees in their own land. Did anybody tell these people that the piece of land on which your forty generations have been growing olives, figs and almonds is no longer yours because of some political accord! The book beautifully describes the hopes of countless Palestinians for whom it’s th...

    Must buy!

Extremely touching and insightful, beautifully written! Transports a person to the doorstep of the Israeli-Palestinian situation. This region is so historic, a crossing point of sorts for different civilizations and one gets the feeling will continue to play a large role in humanity for generations to come.

    Mornings In Jenin

Brought tears to my eyes....... More than once. This is by far the most poetic and emotionally moving book I have ever read. Only those who have experienced war can put such words on paper, Susan Abulhawa is one of those People. I advise all to buy this book.
