Nishant Jain, IAS 13th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2014. Topper of Hindi/Indian Language Medium. Third highest marks in Civil Services Main Examination. Highest marks in Essay and Optional Subject (Hindi Literature) paper. Born and brought up in a humble background in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Nishant cleared UPSC in his second attempt. Graduation in History, Political Science and English and Post Graduation in Hindi Literature. Passed UGC NET-JRF examination. Excellent performance in debate, poetry recitation and essay competitions during college days. M.Phil. degree from Delhi University (D.U.). Worked for two years in the Official Language Division of Lok Sabha Secretariat before being selected in Civil Services. After two years of IAS training in LBSNAA, he received a Masters degree in Public Management from JNU. This bestseller book 'Mujhe Banna Hai UPSC Topper' is very popular for preparation of Civil Services Examination. The translations 'All About UPSC CSE' in English and 'Mala Whychany UPSC Topper!' in Marathi are also popular. To help civil service aspirants, he edited a book titled 'Essay for Civil Service Examination' from 'Akshar' (Rajkamal Publications) along with Ganga Singh IAS on the essay paper of the main examination.
