Naadanada (literally "the river of sound") is an anthology of 65 poems in Odia language written by Dibyakrupa Sahoo. The poems cover a diverse set of topics, from immediate and contemporary ones like climate issues to eternal and philosophical aspects of human nature and life like devotion and love. Some of the poems are written in modern style, i.e. they are free from any strict structure and can be read/recited without music, while some of the poems are written in the classic style with specified ragas and would be more enjoyable when sung. There are a few poems that can be classified as Chitrakavya or "visual poetry" and these poems are illustrated with the corresponding geometric pictures. Three poems are in the classical Chautisha format. Some poems are there for the education and entertainment of children, some poems are meant for the youth for their enjoyment and contemplation, and some poems would appeal to the elderly and experienced ones as well. There is one poem which, using a game of chess as an allegory, tries to convey the message of ahimsa. Each poem tries to present a snapshot of the sounds that enthralled the writer's heart and mind at some points in spacetime. A few pen-and-ink drawings made by the author can also be found on the final few pages of this book conveying the concluding emotions of this anthology. May you have a great time going through these murmurs of the "the river of sound" Naadanada.

Author Info
Though trained and experienced as a researcher in Physics, the author also carries an artistic and poetic bent of mind. The author loves his quest for symmetry and asymmetry in our world, both scientifically and artistically. During times of solitude when he is temporarily taking a break from pursuits of science, he often pens down his thoughts in both Odia and English, preferring the medium of poetry. This brings more peace and calmness to his soul while keeping his mind invigorated. He hopes that his poems may resonate in the reader's mind and soul.
