Summary Of The Book

Naruto is one of the many cult phenomena to have come out of Japan. Having started out as a manga, it still remains extremely popular as one. And so, the 58th volume of this extremely popular series has been released. The story revolves around Naruto – a young shinobi who has a knack for causing trouble and an incorrigible sense of humor yet is balanced out by his deep commitment to become the world’s finest ninja.

Volume 58 contains chapters 545 to 556. It starts off with Tobi recalling Kisame's report and informing them that Naruto’s ability to sense negative emotions was no less than Mito Uzumaki’s. This is followed by a series of confrontations, each one faced off in characteristic ninja style and leads up to chapter 548 where the actual confrontation between Naruto and Itachi takes place. Naruto and Killer B accidentally stumble upon Itachi and Nagato. This meeting leads to Itachi asking Naruto his question.

This action packed volume goes on to see Naruto try to form a Tailed Beast Ball but fail. This unfortunate incident forces Naruto out of the Nine-Tails Chakra mode and in desperate need to contact Killer B. But he and Dodai are attacked by the Raikage and they are forced to use a decoy so that Naruto could escape. Alongside this, Mizukage finds Gaara and asks him what he is capable of. Characteristically, the volume ends in high suspense leaving readers longing for more.

All in all, this volume has lived up to the Naruto standards and has garnered favorable reviews and praise.

Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese Manga artist.

Although best known for his creation of Naruto, Kishimoto has created other manga as well such as Karakuri which won the Hop Step Award, although Naruto is still by far his most popular widely read creation. He has also written a few novels like Naruto: Blood Prison and Naruto: Tales of a Gutsy Ninja.

He was born in 1974 in Nagi, Japan. His twin brother Seishi Kishimoto is also a manga artist. He has been an avid fan of manga ever since his childhood. A serious career in manga began in the last year of his schooling which he followed up by going to art college. His work is noted for its emulation of the Shonen series.
