Nectar in a Sieve  (English, Paperback, Markandaya Kamala)

Get to know about this through a friend and what a marvellous piece of fiction this is.The writing is better than many international authors.The way the authors captures the emotions and present it is incredible.Very simple story of a farmer family struggling with life and poverty. I would also recommend "Silence Of Desire" from the same author.

Just got done with the book. I'm out of words right now. Life, is so simple. And yet, can be so painful.
Such a beautiful story this one is. As for the book, it's a small one with 192 pages which fly by quickly.

If you've read and loved Pather Panchali you'll love this one too. And vice versa.
