Smarajit Ghosh is a professor and an author.

He has also written Control Systems: Theory and Applications, Electrical Machines, and Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His papers have found a place in reputed journals in India and abroad. He has also been a Guide for research students. He specializes in areas such as network reconfigurations, genetic algorithms, and load flow studies. He is currently employed at Thapar University, Patiala, where he heads the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering department.
