Netzwerk neu" is a 3 level course for adult beginners. It quickly teaches students the language needed to communicate successfully in German using the communicative tools familiar from their native language. The integration of new media is fundamental to the course with many of the topics, texts, tasks, and even the layout relating to the digital world. The exercises are student-centered and varied. Each chapter has an overview of communicative learning goals and grammatical structures to make students aware of the learning process. The grammar is user-friendly and relevant for communicative tasks in the various chapters. After every three chapters, there is a "Plattformkapitel" with revision exercises, games, cultural information, and literary texts. The audio and video material is available to download from the publisher's website using an access code in the front of the book and is also available via the free Klett-Augmented App. The DVD contains film clips for each chapter of the book with a page of dedicated DVD exercises. In addition, students can interact with the film characters on Facebook. The digital teachers' pack is an extensive and extremely useful tool containing the complete coursebook, workbook, all the audio files, teachers' manual, photocopy templates, answer keys, transcripts, and a worksheet generator for teachers to create additional exercises.
