In the present edition, each chapter has been split into a suitable number of segments with the segment serving as a self-contained quantum of the subject. Further, answers to all numerical problems have been checked and rechecked and corrections have been applied wherever necessary. The menace of misprints has also been done away with and there is now hardly a chance of an error in this respect. This in itself is a big accomplishment as it has exalted the status of the text to that of a reference book. An important feature of this edition is the addition of an Objective Corner at the end of each unit containing objective questions of various types necessitated by the latest changes in the CBSE Question Paper Design.
