Nouvel En Echanges is the third revised edition of the French textbook En Echanges first published in 1996. En Echanges was the first modern textbook for teaching French to learners. Written by Indian authors, it has a unique intercultural dimension suited specifically to Indian conditions. At the same time, the book incorporates the latest trends in foreign language teaching and strikes a balance between formal grammar and oral as well as written communicative skills. It is due to this global approach, combined with a solid foundation of grammar and vocabulary, that the book is used by learners of all ages and backgrounds in language institutes, catering colleges, tourism courses and other formal and non-formal centres of language learning.
Since 1996, the book has been prescribed as a textbook for students of Class XI and XII appearing for the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSC) in the state of Maharashtra. This revised edition takes into account the latest requirements of the syllabus of the HSC Board.
