  • Description
Nudge has transformed the way individuals, companies and governments look at the world - and in the process has become one of the most important books of the twenty-first century. This completely updated edition offers a wealth of new insights for fans and newcomers alike - about COVID-19, diet, personal finance, retirement savings, medical care, organ donation, and climate change. Every day we make decisions: about the things we buy or the meals we eat; about the investments we make and the time we spend; about our health and that of the planet. Unfortunately, we often choose badly. We are all susceptible to biases that can lead us to make bad decisions that make us poorer, less healthy and less happy. And, as Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein show, no choice is ever presented to us in a neutral way. But by knowing how people think, we can make it easier for them to choose what is best for themselves, for their families and for society. With brilliant insight and wonderful levity, Thaler and Sunstein demonstrate how best to nudge us in the right directions, without ever restricting our freedom of choice.

    Smart Book

It's one of those books that you would not like to put down. It has drama, it has suspense and a wonderful climax. All of these are generally not found in a Non-fiction book such as Nudge. There are times when you want to believe what you are reading but there's something in you that stops you from believing the findings. The best part is that if, as a marketer you get a hang of this psychology of the consumers, you have a winner in your hands. If you need to learn new stuff and challenge you...

    get nudged!

The authors Thaler and Sunstein build on years of behavioral economics/psychology research and present their thesis on what they call as "choice architecture" and introduce their "libertarian paternalism" movement. Turns out that we humans thanks to various cognitive biases could be 'nudged' into doing what is best for us. The book gives numerous examples of how policy makers in the Government can employ nudges rather than decrees towards greater public good -- how to make people quit smokin...

    Good Book but bad print

The book is pretty informative, but I do not like the paper quality and print of this book. The publisher could have made it slightly better and a memorable reading experience.
