Formerly, she was professor in Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College and Vinayaka Mission College of Paramedical Sciences. During her 19 years of teaching experiences, she has handled nutrition classes for Nursing, Optometry, and Nutrition courses. She has also worked as a Dietician. She was a Counselor in Indira Gandhi National Open University. She has attended and presented papers in National, International Conferences, and National Workshop. She has done research on Adolescent Nutritional and Reproductive Health, Safe Motherhood, and Geriatric Nutrition. She has published articles in Pondicherry Journal of Nursing. She is a member of the Indian Association for Social Sciences and Health (IASSH).
