The book contains the author’s thoughts and recollections, thoughts on matters ranging from Bhagavad Geetha to Marxism and recollections of personal experiences in life. If we look at Bhagavad Geetha as something sacred, says the author, we have nothing much to look for since we have no right to question it. But if we take it out of that sanctified plane and critically examine it as the expression of human wisdom, we may be able to assess its relevance for today and for the days to come. The author finds a deliberate attempt these days to distort facts and mislead public opinion on many international issues. West Asia, China, Marxism and democracy happen to be some of the unfortunate victims of this vicious campaign. Articles on these topics are meant to present them in their proper perspective. Everyone goes through some experience or the other in life which is worthy of remembrance at the old age. The author says he too had such memorable experiences in life. And he recounts some of them with the hope that they would provide interesting ‘light material’ for readers.
