Dr. Basavanna M earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Mysore, followed by an M.Phil. in Computer Science from Alagappa University in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from VELS University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, under the guidance of Prof. S. K. Srivatsa. He began his career as a Lecturer in Computer Science and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2009 at the Government College (Autonomous) in Mandya, which is part of the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka. He has published over 40 research papers in various national and international journals and conferences and has authored six books. Dr. Basavanna is a Life Member of the Indian Science Congress Association in Kolkata, India. Currently, he serves as a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Studies in Computer Applications (MCA) at Davangere University in Shivagangotri, Davangere, Karnataka. His research interests include digital image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and scene text analysis.
