Sujit Chakrabarty completed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Banaras Hindu University in 1986 and Master’s degree in Horticulture from Allahabad Agricultural Institute in 1988. He completed PGDBM-IB from BIMTECH In 1989. Vegetable seed production & marketing have been his domain industry. He has been associated with leading seed brands in India viz. ‘Indo-American’, ‘Namdhari’ etc. for more than 18 years. His experience of crop production, especially of horticultural crops in various Agro-climatic regions across India is widely acknowledged by both farmers & gardeners alike. He had started a project on contract farming & marketing of organic vegetables in Pune as early as in 2002. It was a pioneering concept conceived by him about daily farm gate procurement & door step delivery in the early morning of fresh organic vegetables just like milk & news paper. He had been associated with retail chains brands like ‘Subhiksha’ in Maharashtra, ‘Reliance’ in Gujarat & with ‘Spinach’ in Mumbai during 2006 -10
