Laishram Bharati Singh (born in 1970) did her Masters in English from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong in 1994 and Ph. D. from Assam University, Silchar in 2017. She has got her debut book entitled Semiosis and Manipuri Women published by Manak Publications, New Delhi in 2020. She has written several articles published in textbook and reputed journals. She did the translation and narration of a documentary video titled The Shining of Nungphou in the 21st Century in 2022. Besides, she has some other translation works to her credit. At present, she is serving as an Associate Professor and HOD, English in Nehru College, Pailapool, Cachar, Assam.
