I have added a meter along with ac to check power consumption. I found that the ac will consume 1300watt for first 5 min when the colling starts, then it will consume 400watt when the colling reduces, if the room temperature reaches 24c. Which I usually keep. If you buy best quality AC stand from outside the cost will be near rs 400.
