Let me honestly tell you, this is a class product I've bought recently, It is actually a V2/V3 version with a Realtek Chipset inside. It does support Kali Linux Monitor mode and Packet injection only when you know the tricks and techniques to change the same by installing relevant drivers. If you are not that much tech savvy, and a newbie in Kali, then go for the Atheros Chipset. At starting, this TP LINK will not support Mon Mode and Packet Injection mode by default. For those who are worried whether this supports packet injection and monitor more, trust me. IT WORKS !!!!!, But not with the official driver, you need to manually download a modified driver which is available on github.You can find many tutorials on Youtube. If worried, stop worrying and go for it. I say this again, IT SUPPORTS PACKET INJECTION AND MONITORING MODE.
The version I got is v3.20.
Excellent Signal range. Place your router anywhere in the house, and no problem for this adapter.

But for monitor mode and packet injection you need to install drivers .
