The Penguin Complete Sherlock Holmes (English, Paperback, Conan Doyle Arthur)
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tells the stories of a nicotine-addicted private detective with a penchant for solving crimes no one else seems to understand. The Complete Sherlock Holmes brings together all the stories and long novels featuring Sherlock Holmes and his loyal companion, Dr. Watson.
Summary of the Book
Dr. John Watson knew he should have selected a less stressful roommate. However, this Sherlock Holmes seems to know a lot more about him than is possible. Who are all these people who keep coming to him for help? Watson decides to accompany Holmes on a particular “case”, and it is then that he discovers what Holmes does for a “living”. He is a private detective, the definitive example of the role. There is no one else like him, and people flock to him for his help. However, to interest the mind of Sherlock Holmes, a crime needs to be truly extraordinary.
