About Rick Riordan

Rick Riordan is a renowned American author who was born in Texas in 1964.

His other works are The Battle of the Labyrinth, The House of Hades, The Son of Neptune, The Widower's Two-Step, Rebel Island, Southtown, Cold Springs and Son of Sobek.

Riordan started writing in school when he was appointed the editor for the school newspaper. After graduating from the University of Texas, he started teaching Social Studies and English at Presidio High School in San Francisco and then quit to become a full-time writer. Rick Riordan was the recipient of two Mark Twain Awards, the Rebecca Caudill Award and a Milner Award for the Percy Jackson series, amidst other awards like Indian Paintbrush Award and Shamus Award for his other publications. He currently lives with his wife and their two sons, Patrick and Haley, in Boston, Massachusetts.
