Pharmaceutical arithmetic continues to be an important topic in pharmaceutical sciences. The first edition of this book was envisaged because of the paucity of simple precise and economic books in the field which was surprising to some extent. A strong basis of arithmetic makes a good foundation for a pharmacist in any walk of his profession. All the chapters have been thoroughly revised and expanded.

About the Author
Prof. N.K.Jain earned his Ph.D. from the University of Saugar Sagar. Starting his academic career in 1973 he has worked as a Lecturer in Pharmacy Holkar College Indore; Reader in Pharmaceutical Technology M.S. University Baroda; Professor and Principal College of Pharmacy Nasik; Principal College of Pharmacy New Delhi; Visiting Professor Dubai Pharmacy College Dubai (UAE); and presently he is working in his alma mater Dr. Harisingh Gour University (formerly University of Saugar) Sagar as Professor of Pharmaceutics. Prof. Jain has to his credit over 125 research papers and a similar number of popular articles in reputed pharmaceutical journals. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. and 35 M.Pharm candidates. He has been the recipient of IDMA Research Award in Industrial Pharmacy in 1990 and again in 1997. Prof. Jain has been a member of various committees of AICTE UGC CSIR etc. He has been actively associated with numerous professional bodies like IPA APTI IHPA IPGA CRS IPGA AMI etc. He has been the Secretary of the IPA Vadodara Branch Vice President of APTI member of IPA Central Council and presently he is the President of IPA MP State Branch.
