Good product. GC1028 model has good golden plate by default. Philips had mentioned wrongly it as ceremic.

Ceramic soleplate mentioned but got golden American heritage soleplate twice.Philips moved to a new soleplate 2-3 months back. Seller is trying to push off old stock.

A:nope doesnt need a 16amp plug, this is the only model which is 2000watts but still uses a 10amp plug. suitable with regular household 10amp plugs, but be sure your wiring is capable of supporting 2Kw
