Bulb is amazing but connecting it to the device is bit too complicated. First of all you need an extra device or wi-fi router to connect your mobile to the bulb.
But if you also don't have a wi-fi router at home just like me you can try connecting it with someone else mobile Hotspot (for ex. Hotspot name- xyz and password- 1234)and after successfully connecting turn off the 2nd mobile Hotspot and change your own mobile Hotspot name and password exactly same as the 2nd mobile. READ THIS if you are planning to use this bulb in outdoors.
READ THIS if you are planning to use this bulb in outdoors like Christmas STAR, This bulb needs a wifi with internet connection. I tried to use this on a star but it will not connect to the wifi even though that have enough wifi strength. The bulb have a much lower ability to detect wifi signal. Also you can't connect to the bulb via a local network like a hotspot device.
The bulb should in around 10 to 15 meters to connect to a normal modem.
