The eighteenth episode of the Mahabharata is "Mahaprasthanika". Panchpandava traveled towards heaven with Draupadi. On the way Draupadi, Nakula, Sahadeva, Arjuna and Bhima passed away respectively. Yudhisthira finally reached heaven. Bhima was with him for the longest time on this long journey. In fact, in Yudhisthira's entire life, Bhima has been by his side most of the time. The premise of this novel is to look back on Bhima's life or to reminisce or introspect on the eve of his death in 'Mahaprasthana'. In a total of nineteen chapters, the story has been largely reconstructed with respect to the original Mahabharata.
