When poetry spills, it leaves a stain of life, love, and hurt. And so, it cannot be condensed to a uniform theme. Or can it? Can we say that every word is subjective to the person who uses it? My truth can be similar to yours, or the complete opposite. Pick me UP! I am a collection of words that hatched like an egg after swallowing the bittersweet taste of life. I speak as a Woman; I dream as a Woman. Dickinson and Plath could have been the beginning, and we must see the end together. Let me not give you a glimpse of what these pages entail, for I shall resonate with the mind that chooses to pick me up. Let me not influence you or decide for you. This is the agency every reader deserves. But let me also say that poetry never lies and only wishes to say what others could not. Maybe I speak of something that you once wished to yell out... but could not. I don't work with a theme; I create one without thinking. I am the book; you are the reader. We are meant to strike a conversation.
