PMI-ACP Exam Prep is a guidebook written for the aspirants of the ACP certification exam offered by PMI.
Summary Of The Book
Agile project management is a methodology suggested in the year 2001 by The Agile Manifesto. This methodology concentrates in anticipated interaction among various stakeholders throughout the process of planning and development of a project. This methodology adopts the style of requirement gathering and analysis, mainly for the Information Technology related projects, in a recursive manner. The primary advantage of Agile over the traditional Waterfall method of project planning is agility and flexibility. In the Waterfall method, all the decisions and planning are made at the beginning of the project, and it is difficult to alter them in the later stages of the project, if needed. But since the planning and execution go hand in hand, the Agile method give the flexibility to make any plan or decision depending on the current state of the project, thereby proving to be a great advantage for the project managers and helping them to minimize risks involved in the project.
Keeping in mind all the benefits of the Agile methodology of project planning, the Project Management Institute (PMI) came up with a certification course, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), for project managers as a testimony to their knowledge and competency in implementing the Agile principles.
This book, PMI-ACP Exam Prep by Mike Griffiths, is a comprehensive guidebook for those who want to appear for the PMI ACP certification exam. With an array of more than 100 practice questions spread across the book to test the aspirants understanding of various topics, this book concentrates on teaching the aspirants what they really need to know to work in the real environments.
