Summary of the Book
Hindu philosophy asserts that fame and fortune depends on our horoscopes or karma. Building by abiding to the rules of Vaastu is a part of this karma. The followers of Vaastu Shastra have faith in it that loyalty to these rules brings prosperity to the inhabitants of a house constructed. Several books have been published and many articles written in newspapers and magazines, and many shows are dedicated to Vaastu Shastra on the television. A Practical Approach to Vaastu Shastra is a book that seeks to offer the fundamental knowledge about this science in lucid language so that the readers can avoid the costs of engaging a consultant for trivial troubles and also be well-informed enough to assess the information of the consultant before incurring expenses in carrying out alterations or renovations. This book stands class apart from other books because it is written by a civil engineer and management expert himself, and not by a pundit. The book emphasizes on the importance of logic and the practical features while gauging plots, flats, houses, and offices instead of merely following superstitions. The book will be useful to the public as well; especially those who are keen on applying Vaastu Shastra while constructing different architectural structures.
