Strong structure.End steel dumbbels are rotary fitted over thread cutting on both ends of main holding shaft.You have to fit it tightly by holding both dumbbels & by applying clockwise rotary force(torque). Chrome plating over steel is not permanent though,with a hard object sudden pitting/hitting or touching with small force,chrome plating will break like flakes at that collision area & internal steel body come out.Though that will not be detrimental on its performance.
