Anisha Rai is in her new home, Gurgaon, and her life suddenly has too much happening in it.

    Summary of the Book

When Anisha has to leave Minnesota and come to India, she is not very happy. She does not like the idea of calling Gurgaon her new home. It isn’t something that will work so easily considering she does not have any other choice. Her life soon starts to get hot and happening. First, she meets Keds, her stupid childhood friend who turned out to be quite an interesting guy. He even remembers their first kiss. Her classmates are always on the lookout for fun while she isn’t keen on any of it. Kunal, the theater enthusiast, is a college-goer who has taken special interest in Anisha. He wants to teach her a lot more than just drama. Her life is getting increasingly exciting by the day and Anisha is not sure if she will be able to deal with most of what is happening. The book takes a look into the fast-paced life of teenagers today, and of heartbreak and promise.

    A very thoughtful book

I wonder why some really silly Indian authors get so much space when the good ones like Swati Kaushal don't. Probably because they don't publicize their books on every nook and cranny of the internet.

Anyhow, coming to the book. It is about a young Indian Anisha Rai, who returns to India with her mother, after her father dies. Keds is her childhood figure and needless to say the bestfriend figure in her life. Every girl would love to have a friend like Keds in their life, but with every Ked...

    Amazing storyline

All the prejudice about rising authors vanishes into thin air when you pick up this one. Thoughtful, funny and touchy story strengthens the narration.
I read it 4 years ago while i was in 10th class, and i totally related to it, not the father part though; but all the teenage rebelliousness and awkwardness was so three dimensional!
Not to deny, the ending could have been more clear. Nevertheless, its a 99/100.
Read it, re-read it and re-re-reading till now :)

A sensitive, intriguing take on growing up

A sensitively handled story of a girl who is growing up to realise that what things aren't always the way they seem and there are hidden depths to everyone. It charts a dramatic journey of a daughter who finally grows up to realise that her parents are also people, at the end of the day, not deified angels.

nothing great about the writing style.non-gripping story.cannot connect with the readers..the protagonist is a strong character but you just see her losing control..gonig along the wrong path..no one to protect her, guide her..not so good ending either..
