Junior Premier League (English, Paperback, Bhattacharya Joy)
The First 11 is the first volume in the sports-based children's novel about the Junior Premiere League, and the first team to test its ropes.
Summary of the Book
Neel, a twelve-year old on vacation, runs into a boy named Sachin and learn that they have one thing in common: their passion for cricket. In the weeks of practice that they share, Neel discovers that Sachin has a monstrous talent that if directed right could see him in the future Indian team. He returns to Delhi and resumes preparing for the Junior Devils, the Delhi team of the first Junior Premier League cricket tournament. In a twist of fate, he finds that Sachin is in the team as well, after he moves to his aunt's home in Delhi. Is Sachin's talent enough to carry the Devils forward? Neel finds that talent isn't enough, and that to win, one must need something more. A story of dedication, hard work and a little bit of luck, this book tells a tale fit for a roller-coaster.
