The book includes the empirical analysis of key aspects of urban finances (municipal revenue and expenditure) collected from various municipalities and financial performance of respective municipalities is projected by trend analysis. An analysis of revenue performance due to tax revision of municipalities is done with ANOVA test. Also, expenditure performance after pay revision of municipalities is analyzed through ANOVA test. The parameters such as financial dependency and centralization of municipalities are also compared. An attempt is made to analyze the financial parameters on the basis of population of municipality categories and tried to identify the possibilities to tap the additional resources of the municipalities.
